I always wonder how often other people clean the stuff in their houses, so I am starting a new weekly post called How Often Do You Clean It. So this week is part 1 and it's the
toaster!
I wipe my toaster down almost daily although it doesn't get used THAT often. I have thought about putting it under the counter and only taking it out when in use but I love my toaster, it's so pretty so it will stay on my counter.
ANNNYway. Last week when I was cleaning fans and toasters and fridges and microwaves I was pondering how often should we be cleaning these items???
When I opened my toaster tray which I only do about once a year this is what I saw......
GAAAAACK scary I know.
That alone could start a fire! I just don't ever think about the toaster tray.
So how often do you clean your toaster??? I looked it up and apparently we are supposed to be cleaning it out every month! Do you clean out your toaster try every month??? Or once a year like me? Do you have a special cleaning method or and thing special you do for your toaster care?

We have a toaster oven and ours gets cleaned out every 2 weeks. It just gets messy with all that crap in there!
Yea...I am more like you. I end up wiping the outside off because it sits on the counter and needs to shine but I never remember the tray.
Sadly, I don't think I clean it enough...I'm thinking I better get right to it!!! hehe. Happy Thursday!
ya, def only clean it like once a year. hardly gets used and is stored in the pantry so i dont even worry about wiping down the outside... my son had toast this morning so it's actually out right now. gonna get right to cleaning the tray haha :) this is a good weekly idea. maybe ill get some stuff clean that i usually don't worry about
Once a week we toast a lot of bread. :)
